Asian speed dating is culturally based. The different races from Asia are known to adhere to their faith and tradition strictly and marriage is one of the serious decisions to which their faith encompasses. Their culture primarily dictates who they are supposed to tie the knot with as they are not allowed to marry someone who has a different belief system. The Asian version of speed dating is an approach which was primarily created to aid the people in finding someone who shares the same belief system as them. Since it is particularly difficult to find a person to which their culture would agree with especially with the growing diversity existent around their communities, the Asian version of speed dating was established. With speed dating, finding the right mate for them becomes more convenient as single Asians are assisted in meeting people who have the same religious background as them. This is the reason why Asian speed dating is becoming a trend among the different Asian cultures.
Among the different cultures in Asia, the Hindus are said to be the most accommodating especially when compared to Koreans and Muslim whose women are more conservative and are not advised to mingle with men. The Hindus are compliant with the idea of Asian speed dating and observe a the guidelines at how it helps them find the person they are going to live with for he rest of their lives.
Asian speed dating and the contemporary speed dating are similar in a lot of ways. The only difference most experts see is the level of seriousness of the participants while engaged in speed dating. Unlike people from other cultures, Asians who engage in speed dating regard it more as a business activity than a social event. Engaging in speed dating for them is an opportunity to find their lifetime partner and not merely to build a short-lived one shot encounter.
Like the contemporary speed dating, the Asian version of speed dating is completed in a span of 3 to 8 minutes. The signal alarms every time a cycle is completed and the men rotates to proceed to their next date. It is a form of mingling where the men get to meet every woman in the event before the day ends. After meeting all the women present in the matchmaking affair, they are then allowed to mix and mingle with each other. This provides them the opportunity to get to know more the attendee who may have gotten their attention during the speed date. This portion of the speed dating gives the chance to men to chase after the woman whom they find interesting and attractive.
Asian speed dating also has perks of its own. Aside from the fact that singles events are conducted under the context of fun and excitement, it also encourages Asian men who are naturally shy to take a calculated risk. These dating events provide a venue where men can satisfy their need for companionship under a light and relaxed atmosphere. The speed dating gives Asian men the guts to speak and erases any pre-existing fear to speak openly with your prospective date.
